Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

It is with great honor and excitement that we announce the official annual Muslim Youth Debate Tournament in this year of 2018, brought to you by the Mafiq Foundation.

The debate is parliamentary style and our tournament is open to teams of 3 people from various communities, school, and masaajid. This year’s debate topics are listed below. The event will take place on Saturday July 215th, 2017, at ADAMS Center in Sterling, Virginia, in shaa Allah. We are hosting pre-tournament debates on April 15th at Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Md  and 12th May at ADAMS Center, Herndon, Va in Reston, Virginia.  We await your registration, and may Allah grant you success in all of your endeavors and allow us to use the benefits we reap through this endeavor in His path and to serve Him.

Please note that no more than four teams per institution may register, regardless of the category (High/Middle School).

What: A forum for Muslim Youth to develop debating skills on issues with multiple viewpoints while encouraging them to think critically about their world and providing them the tools to confidently express themselves in real-life situations.
